Hello everyone! Sign ups are now open! Please make sure you have read the following posts!

Please provide an email address that you check frequently as all check-ins and important announcements will be emailed. We also need a good email address for author/fanworker match-ups!

After signing up, you will receive an automated email from Google with a copy of your sign up within 24 hours. If you do not receive this email, please let us know! Mods will be sending out a different sign-up confirmation email within 72 hours of signing up, to confirm that we got your sign up. If you do not receive an email from us after 72 hours, please get in contact with us, as we do need a working email!

We will do our best to keep the HetBigBang Discord Server aware of any times that we might be away and responses slow, so it’s a good idea to join up! It’s also a good idea to join and friend this community - all check-ins, reminders, and announcements will come through here, so you'll have to watch us to stay informed!


Authors:
An Archive of Our Own account is required for authors. If you do not already have one, please get in queue ASAP: Archive of Our Own Invite Requests

If you are working with a co-author(s), list their username(s) and email address(es). Please do not sign up until you have this information. Please have only one person from your group do the sign up and provide all the necessary information, usernames and email.

If you are planning to write two fics, please make sure to sign up twice! Each author is allowed to write only two stories, either two Little Bangs (5k word minimum), two Big Bangs (10k word minimum), or one of each for a total of two.

Please list your fandoms and pairings you're thinking of working with. What you put on the form is not official! If you're unsure, go ahead and list a few things you think you might work with. This is just to give us mods an idea of what everyone is working on, so we know where to look for fanworkers and to know what is popular!

Rough Drafts: Rough drafts are due June 26th-July 6th. 80% of your story needs to be complete in order to turn it in and be eligible for a fanwork arranged through the HetBang comm. What this means is that at least 8k needs to be written for the Big Bang, and 4k needs to be turned in for the Little Bang. (Fanworks are not 100% guaranteed for the Little Bang stories. Fanworks are guaranteed for Big Bang stories!)

When rough drafts are turned in, a summary and header information will be required. This summary and the header information is what fanworkers will see and use to determine if they want to choose your story! Authors can opt out of receiving a fanwork, or they can arrange to work with a fanworker on their own before the claiming process. Also let us know if you're willing and able to work with characters and fandoms you might not be familiar with, though you will not be held to this if you decide during claims you cannot do this. Authors will be encouraged to to help out with providing screenshots and other material to fanworkers that may not be as familiar with the fandom and characters!

It's also good to let us know if there is any subject matter you're not able to work with!
