Does anyone here know how to use Weebly websites? The person I had for helping put up and code out the entries for the website has suddenly gone MIA. I now have to figure out the entire website thing on my own, and if someone is familiar with how it works, that'd be appreciated! I just need a few questions answered. I can properly figure it out on my own, but if someone already knows the answers, then it'll save me precious time.

Don't worry! I will get this website up by the Debut Date. I promise you that! There will be no delay, even if I have to get really really creative.

On that note, I've been getting several requests for extentions. Public Note: I will not be granting any extentions whatsoever. I did not even grant one to myself, so.

Would it, at this point, be worth considering using something like eFiction to set up an archive, or even AO3? With AO3, I know you can have people submit stuff themselves to a collection, and keep it non-public until the reveal date, and many people may end up submitting to A03 anyway (plus, you can manage it in terms of saying who should have submitted and who had, and people submit it themselves, which will save you work).

With eFiction, you could set all submissions as moderated and simply 'approve' them on the reveal date.

I'm pretty sure I've seen artwork on A03. however I don't know if you can yet assume that everyone has an A03 acct. However you might be able to ask for invite codes if you know how many folks don't have one. if you know the number and say "hey im trying to do blah, my website coder flaked on me" they might help a fangirl out :)

edit: Id help with webly but I am SWAMPED.

I've not worked with Weebly before, but I do have some experience with coding websites through godady and expressionengine.com. Not a whole lot, mind you, but enough to help put up the fics and artworks. This is assuming that the CSS sheet has already been created?

Anyway, you will probably get replies from people who have extensive experience on this stuff, but I'm volunteering to help if you need me.

And don't worry, you'll get that site up and running on time, no matter what! :)

You can actually host images on eFiction. It's one of the options that is usually disabled by the admins, but it is possible to enable it (at least in the versions of eFiction I've used).

I've checked, and it is there in version 3, but you have to enable it in Admin > Settings > Submission Settings and then in Panels edit the one that says Manage Images and uncheck the box that says 'hidden'.

ETA: Also, in case you've missed it (as I completely understand you're flailing at the moment ::g::), [livejournal.com profile] aithine has offered you any website help you need. She does this sort of thing for a living, and she's familiar with eFiction (hates it, but is familiar with it ::g::) thanks to dealing with my flailing on a regular basis.

AO3 does allow vids. They would have to be on YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and a few other video hosting sites, though--not all video hosting sites are allowed on AO3. I don't think AO3 does fanmixes at all.

If you still wanna go with Weebly, my entire site (http://www.geeklite.net) was done with them and I can work my way around it pretty well.
