The Artist Claim page was supposed to go up today, but I have tried for several hours and for some reason, I cannot post any lengthy posts right now on LJ. It keeps giving me errors. I will continue after sleeping (it's 2 am right now). Sorry to those that were expecting that post! (I am very annoyed with my lj right now.)

In other news:

The chatgroup timings: the poll has been closed, and the results are in: Saturday from 7pm to 9pm. Thus, there are two chatgroups, both at the same time/day, just different timezones: A Timezone Converter is here is here.

Chatting will be held next Saturday, August 27th, from 7pm to 9pm, for both the USA/Canada (PST) and British-timezone (BST)!

Also, according to that other poll, we're doing "Random Stories of the Day!"

It doesn't matter which chat we attend, correct? (Like, say I work on Saturday but have Friday off - the British zone chat is 11am-1pm Friday the 26th my time - I can attend that one, right?)

Also, I was trying to edit my comment, cause apparently that first chat is 11am-1pm my time on Saturday, so the question is really pretty moot. :/

Argh, stupid technical difficulties. *glares at LJ* Hope it clears up soon! *hugs*

I've been meaning to ask you something about when the stories go live on the website. When the stories are posted, will they all be in one long page, or will they be divided up into chapters, like they would on LJ? If the former, I'll need to remove some of the mark-ups to the copy that I send to you, since the first part of my story is divided into two sub-parts owing to LJ's word limits.

:( It's really frustrating when that happens. This might be a stupid question, but were you using the rich text editor? That can sometimes cause problems, because it is evil.

If so, it might be worth switching to the HTML view and trying then. If not, it might be worth splitting the post into two, or maybe hosting it on a webpage and just linking it, maybe? LiveJournal has been having significant problems recently, and you're not the only person who's had issues with it not letting long posts post, but I haven't seen anyone come up with a solution yet.

Livejournal is being weird for me too :( It just automatically enabled auto-formatting and took out all my line break tags when I went to add a fic rec to one of my lists. The whole post immediately smushed up into one huge blob of text.

Arrrgh LJ what is going on with you?

You mean it disabled auto-formatting? Auto-formatting being enabled would mean it makes through line breaks for you. When it's disabled is when you manually need to put in the <br> code.

It's cool. :-) I can see where someone less tech savvy could make that mistake, though, and the future teacher in me loves to teach.

Actually no, sorry, I was right the first time. I had my fic list all typed out with auto-formatting disabled, and I had manually entered the line breaks myself as code.

Livejournal switched it over and enabled auto-formatting, for some bizarre reason. But because I'd put the line breaks in manually as code, there were no "spaces" (like, the return key being hit, that is) for the auto-format to recognise, so it all became one big chunk. The break tags I put in simply disappeared and it all mushed together.

Sorry, I'm being confusing. I'm really tired. :p

Yeah, that was my response. It happened twice. I fixed it the first time and realised I'd missed one break tag - went back in to edit it in, and LJ switched everything back on me again, eating every single break tag I'd just put in.

So er, a warning: nobody go into huge html posts without having all the text backed up somewhere else first D:

A quick question; you list the times as PST and BST but both of those zones are currently in daylight saving, so are we using Standard Time or Daylight Time?
