Last Chance for Rough Draft Submissions!

Hi everyone! There is roughly one hour left to submit your rough draft! We’re finalizing things and getting ready to post the summaries for claiming! If you’re wanting to get your submission in, please do so ASAP! Another announcement will go out once we are no longer accepting rough drafts and the summaries will be posted shortly after that.

Countdown to Rough Drafts Closing

If you are not at 4k words or 8k words yet, but you are close to one of those numbers, email us or send us a Discord message to discuss if we can accept your summary! If you are not close to 4k/8k words, but want to continue with HetBang, you can opt-out of receiving an accompanying fanwork (or arrange your own) and continue as a Solo Author. Authors that do not turn in a rough draft will automatically be switched to being a Solo Author.

If you are wanting to opt-out of working with a fanworker, or need to drop out, please let us know ASAP so we can mark things down on our end!

Rough Draft Submission Guidelines Please read these thoroughly, as they have been updated on how to properly format your summary header. If your summary header is not done correctly, we will ask you to redo it!

Rough Draft Submissions Closed!

Hello again everyone! Rough draft submissions are now closed and summaries will be posted within the next few minutes. We ask that authors check over their summaries once they are posted, to make sure everything is correct. If something does not look right, get in touch with us ASAP, so that we can fix it for you!

Authors that have not submitted a rough draft, and have not already gotten in contact with us, will be automatically switched to the Solo Author path. An email will go out to authors that have been automatically switched to the Solo Author path.

Story claiming will open Saturday, July 9th at 12 Noon PDT.

We will be posting both the 5k Little Bang summaries and the 10k Big Bang summaries at the same time, on separate posts, for fanworkers to peruse. The 5k Little Bang post will only be unlocked after all of the 10k Big Bang stories have been claimed. It is also important to note that only the LiveJournal versions of the summary posts will be unlocked for comments. The DreamWidth versions are for reference only.
