3rd Check-In Reminder - Non-Mandatory!

Hello everyone, this is a reminder for the third check-in for HetBang 2022! This is our last non-mandatory check-in, so it's a good idea to take a look at the check-in survey, to see how the rest of the mandatory check-ins will be handled. The survey will be open through Saturday, July 9th, and closed on Sunday morning, July 10th. So, if you’ve got a few minutes to fill out the survey, we’d really appreciate it!

This check-in is for authors only, so fanworkers, sit tight. The survey is to track story progress, but don’t stress out! Even if you haven’t started yet, please still fill out the survey, it really helps us know where everyone is at.

The most important thing when filling out the survey is to make sure you use the same email address that was used in your sign-up, so that we can check you off. If you do not remember which email you used to sign-up, a copy of the Google Survey should have been sent to you when you signed up. If you still cannot find it, please contact us and we will check on our end!

Fanworker sign-ups are still open until July 16th! We’re always in need of more Fanworkers, so if you can, promote HetBang anywhere you see fit!

Story claiming for 10k Big Bang stories will begin shortly! The 5k Little Bang post will only be unlocked after all of the 10k Big Bang stories have been claimed. The DreamWidth summary posts will not be unlocked. They are purely for reference. It’s also a good idea to read over the summaries you want to claim again, as information may have been updated!

Story Claims Open!

Hello everyone! 10k Big Bang story claims are now open!!!

If you want to create some kind of fanwork for one of these awesome stories, the LiveJournal post is right here: Story Claiming Post. The DreamWidth version of this post will not be unlocked for comments. We understand that LiveJournal may not be allowing anonymous comments, if you run into this problem, please email your claims to thehetbigbang@gmail.com.

Claiming Instructions | 10k Big Bang Summaries

For the first round of claiming, fanworkers can claim only one story! Once second claims open, fanworkers can claim as many stories as they want, however, please do not take on more than you are reasonably certain you can finish to avoid leaving any authors or stories hanging!

If there are any remaining 10k stories that need to be claimed on Monday, July 11th at 12PM PDT, fanworkers that have already claimed a story will be able to claim a second story. This is so we can get 5k Little Bang stories opened up for claims ASAP! If all 10k and 5k stories are claimed before July 16th, a second round of claiming will open, where all stories will be available to be claimed by a second fanworker. 10k Big Bang stories are only guaranteed onefanworker, and 5k Little Bang stories are not guaranteed a fanworker, but we will do our best to get every story a fanworker!

Remember, the Dreamwidth post will not be unlocked! If you are wanting to make a claim through comments, you must visit the LiveJournal post! This is so we can keep things more organized and prevent confusion if stories are being claimed at the same time. Emailing us your claims is also an option, just send an email to thehetbigbang@gmail.com with your top three picks and we will let you know which story you are successful on!

If you're a fanworker that needs to drop out, for any reason, please let us know right away and we will get that taken care of for you! There are no consequences for dropping out before a story is claimed!

Also, just as a reminder, it can take a few hours for mods to respond, so claim verification might be slow. We will do our best to stay on top of things and let people know if they were successful or not!
