Totally random question so I'll ask it here. There's comments missing from posts. At least one cheerleader signup that I know of, a comment to my signup and my reply to that, and someone else's signup entirely leaving only the comments responding to it. Did they get marked as spam magically when LJ was borked yesterday, or is it something else that happened when it was borked, or do you think it's something else entirely?

I'm just asking 'cause I can't figure it out and it's driving me batty, lol.

I don't know if this helps, but I read in the link provided in the blue bar they're putting in our journals that some of entries and comments will be missing as they build things back up. If the messages aren't in the spam folder, this is probably what happened to them.

Wow. Whatever LJ's issue was, it seems to have done a number on the author sign-up post. When I went to check if there were any more Hunger Games sign ups, I saw a comment I had made days ago on someone else's sign up just hanging in the air below my sign up, as thought it was a comment to the main post. O_o When I looked for the original sign up that prompted my comment, it seems to have disappeared. o_O

Ya, there's some weirdness going on with the sign up page - I had copied 4 pages of comments to a word doc before LJ's crash, thankfully, but as I'm going over the pages to make sure I haven't missed anything, there's several reply comments that aren't replying to anything. As well (and more importantly), I have at least 4 sign ups in my word doc that are now missing from the sign up post comments, so LJ must've dropped them or something. *shrug* Once I post the list, they can double check I got their sign up comment, and let me know if I (or LJ) missed it?

Damn. Sorry you have to deal with that. When you put up the masterlist tomorrow, just add in a note regarding these lj glitches. Make sure to emphasis we tried to catch everyone, but there might be a few that slipped through the crack, but as long as they can point to a comment in the sign up post, they're fine.

No worries - it was just lucky that I happened to have copied those pages beforehand, so we should be good for the most part. I will be sure to make note of it!
