Art Claims: COMING VERY SOON

Just a quick note to say that I have fallen behind schedule (apologies, guys!!), but the art claims will be going up today or tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled!! Claims will be on a first come, first serve basis. Pinch Hit Artist sign-ups will also be going up soon, for those interested and able to be Pinch Hitters.

Artists: I wanted to ask you guys' opinions about art claims: something I've seen done at other Bangs is all the summaries go up on a "preview" basis for about a day, so everyone can see what's up for grabs, and think over their choices. Then claims are opened and everyone can comment with their first and second choices. Is this something you guys would be interested in doing, or keep it the same as always (especially since the claims post will be going up a couple days later than usual)? Comment below with your thoughts!

I'm not a signed-up artist, but I think the preview thing sounds like it makes things fair.

Also, I've never done a Big Bang, so if I'm misunderstanding I'm sorry (I'm just having nightmares of gym class being the only one not picked), but if no one picks mine, can I pinch-hit art for my own?

That's one vote for a preview day!! :D Ya, I've quite liked the idea at other Bangs I've seen - I don't think we'll end up doing it this year after all, since I'm going to be getting claims up late as it is, but I definitely want to do it next year.

No worries! There are different Bangs with different rules about fics getting claimed. For us here at HBB, we usually have a relatively small crop of Big Bang fics, and we pretty much won't proceed with certain things until all fics have been claimed (you should definitely not need to pinch hit for yourself). :) Everybody will get art!!

You *are* totally allowed to do art for yourself, but generally we ask you tell us ahead of claims so we can take you off the claims list. :)
